This course will examine the legal issues facing legal practitioners in commercial real estate development. Students will learn about the basic legal principles, legislation, and legal documents involved in real estate development process. By the end of the course, students will be able to prepare documents and identify legal issues relating to land acquisition, development financing and marketing, Vancouver's unique planning and regulatory requirements, and First Nations land development.
Prerequisites
LAW 101, LAW 110 and LAW 210; OR 45 credits of 100-level or higher coursework
