This course builds upon previous skills gained in improvisation courses. It continues to develop facilitation competence using group and dyadic improvisation techniques. Students will develop confidence in their ability to design, facilitate, and assess group improvisation and its appropriate therapeutic applications with children and older adults in health care settings. Active participation, observation, and giving and receiving constructive feedback in a shared and respectful environment is an expectation for this course. Students should be aware there may be heightened emotional responses in some of the musical experiences.
