This foundational course will broaden that view to provide an understanding of the business as a whole entity. Through a blend of theoretical concepts, practical applications and interactive discussions, learners will gain a fundamental understanding of what constitutes a business, including the types of businesses (e.g., service, manufacturing, non-profit) and the core functions that drive them (marketing, operations, finance, etc.). This course also aims to foster an understanding of the role of businesses in society, introduce a critical thinking approach, and inspire a passion for lifelong learning in the field of business.
