Here’s a handy guide to the steps you’ll take – from choosing a program to the first day of class – on your journey to become a student at Capilano University.
Step 1. Choose a program
CapU has programs and courses to match your career plans and goals. Whether you’re ready to step right in to a degree or diploma program, looking to upgrade your current skills or need support to begin your academic life, we’re confident there’s an option that’s just right for you.
- what you’ll learn
- the courses you’ll take
- who your instructors will be
- what you’ll pay in tuition & fees.
Step 2. Figure out your finances
Your university education is a big investment (though if you compare CapU fees to other schools, you’ll see that in spite of our small class sizes our tuition is lower than many).
It’s important to have a clear idea of your costs right up front, and a plan for how you’ll pay.
Learn about CapU tuition fees and costs, as well as how to pay, in Fees & Finances.
While you're there, check into the Financial Aid & Awards that might help you meet your expenses.
Step 3. Apply for admission
Our step-by-step guide on How to Apply includes:
- checking that you meet the admission requirements
- ensuring you meet application deadlines
- paying your application fee
- submitting supporting documents such as transcripts.
Step 4. Register for courses
Once you’ve been accepted at CapU, you’ll receive a notice of your Registration Time Ticket through your myCapU account a few weeks before registration starts. The Registration Time Ticket tells you the date and time when you can begin to register online for your courses.
