Exploring global styles from folk, pop, classical and spiritual traditions, this course develops listening skills, musical curiosity, and language for describing the fundamentals of sound. Through active listening activities such as listening journals, in class reflection activities, and group discussion, students will examine how music communicates narrative, ideas, impressions and emotions across diverse traditions and cultures. This course is open to all CapU students.
Prerequisites
