CapU Jazz Series

An annual series featuring world-renowned jazz artists that represent both traditional and contemporary styles. A growing number of performances have showcased jazz from different cultures such as Latin and African. A highlight of the series is performances pairing a guest artist with our premier Jazz Studies student ensembles - “A” Band and NiteCap.

CapU Global Roots Series

This popular series features the best in acoustic music from near and far. Like our global world, we believe music should have no boundaries and indeed it is our aim to have the diversity in our communities reflected on our stage. Enjoy a musical journey around the world with our global roots shows.

CapU Speaker Series

The speaker series features some of the most progressive and creative thinkers in today’s complex world. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the issues and concerns of our current zeitgeist as well as have the opportunity to participate in lively Q&A sessions.      

CapU Theatre Series

Featuring CapU Theatre and Arts Club Theatre presentations. Past performances have included Anne of Green Gables, The Odd Couple, Chelsea Hotel and Cabaret.

CapU Choral & Classical Series

A program of classical choral and music concerts performed by the Capilano University Festival Chorus, Capilano University Singers and Classical Music Program. 

Special Presentations

Unique celebrations, family fare, comedy and annual traditional shows such as Winter Harp are featured in this series.

North Shore Jazz Series

Each summer, as part of the Vancouver International Jazz Festival, we present North Shore Jazz, a series of ticketed and free concerts that take place throughout the North Shore. The line-up features an eclectic mix of stellar artists, performing at BlueShore at CapU, West Vancouver Memorial Library and other venues, as well as at outdoor locations such as Civic Plaza and Lynn Valley Village.
