Celebrate your achievements and graduation at one of the convocation ceremonies held on June 7, 8 and 9, 2023 at the Capilano University Main Campus.

Note: you will be pre-assigned to a ceremony based on your program of completion and cannot switch to a different ceremony time or date.

Parking will be free campus-wide during convocation. You will be required to enter from Lillooet Road onto Moshanee Drive. Traffic attendants will be there to assist you.

Your guests do not require tickets. We can guarantee seats for four guests per grad; however, we cannot guarantee seats for additional guests. 

Your ceremony will last approximately 1.5 – 2 hours. 

People with limited mobility can be dropped off behind the Centre for Sport and Wellness. Enter the back door from the parking lot or access via the ramp on the side of the building.

There will be some accessible parking nearest the Birch Building available on first-come-first-served basis.

Join your fellow graduates at the Alumni All Access Reception in parking lot 7. Snacks, refreshments and tunes by DJ Gabriel will be provided. 

If you cannot attend your ceremony, your credentials will be mailed to you the week after the ceremonies. You do not need to let us know that you will not be attending.

You will not be able to take part in the ceremonies without first registering for Convocation and ordering regalia through Gaspard. No one may cross the stage without regalia!

When you arrive to the Birch Building, please follow signs marked 'Welcome Grads' and follow the instructions.

Pick-up time: 60 minutes prior to your convocation ceremony
Drop-off time: Immediately following your ceremony. Gowns and hoods/stoles should be returned to the drop off location in the cafeteria no more than 1 hour after your ceremony. Cap and tassels are yours to keep. 
Location: Birch Lower Cafeteria.

Note: You will need your Cap Card as ID to collect your credentials. Please also bring your Gaspard confirmation from your gown order to pick up your gown. 

If you did not order regalia during the registration period, you can rent it on site for $60 CAD.

Photographers from Grad Images will be at your ceremony to photograph you at your special moment of recognition. They will contact you directly with information about how to order your photographs.
