Study Spaces on campus
Located in room LB126, The Learning Commons is a supportive environment for learning and skills development, individual study and group work. It features reference materials and collaborative presentation facilities.
In the CapU Library, you'll find different areas where you can study or meet depending on your needs.
Head to the Silent Zone on the second floor or the Janet MacDonald Room in the north-west corner of the main floor, if you want complete quiet to do your work.
If you're working on a project or studying together with a group, the Collaboration Zone is on the main floor and offers a variety of seat styles and work spaces.
Consider booking one of the eight Collaboration Rooms, perfect for groups of 2-12. The Library also has computer workstations and multifunction devices (print, scan or copy) available for use.
This is a safe space for students of First Nations, Inuit and Métis ancestry within the Library Building. Meet new people and find support. Relax, share and study.

Students of all beliefs can meditate or pray silently. This space is located in Cedar building, room CE236 and is resourced by the Capilano Students' Union.
This is a meeting and support space for students who are 2SLGBTQIAA+. Find resources and a welcoming place to meet friends, learn about events and study.
The door code is available from CSU Member Services in LB195 or by contacting the CSU via social media.
The women’s centre is a women-only space to relax, nurse a baby, study, meet with friends, and talk with other women about issues you may not feel ready to discuss in a gender-mixed group.
All self-identified women students may use their CapCard to access the space. If you need to update the gender associated with your CapCard, log in to MyCapU and access the personal information section.
CSU Library Lounge (LB195)
This central, multifunctional venue is popular for events and relaxation. The CSU Library Lounge is also home to CSU Member Services, where you can get information, purchase supplies, and interface with CSU staff. The space features comfortable seating, a sink, and rentable personal fridge space.
CSU Maple Lounge (MA116)
This multifunctional space is a place for all students to meet, socialize, and study. The room features comfortable seating, a billiards table, and board games.
