Frequently Asked Questions
What time does check-in open?
Check-in will open at 10:45 a.m., 15 minutes before the event starts. We strongly recommend arriving at this time to ensure a smooth check-in process and to have ample time to explore your areas of interest.
Is parking free during the event? Where should I park?
Yes, parking is free during the event. For those interested in programs such as Animation, Film/MoPA, Costuming for Stage and Screen, and VFX, we recommend using Lot 3. For other programs, Lot 1 is recommended as it is closest to the check-in area in the Birch Building.
What should I wear?
The event takes place across the entire campus, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes and bringing a rain jacket, as you'll be walking outdoors. A golf cart is available for accessibility needs.
Do I need to stay for the whole duration of the event?
Most activities are offered continuously throughout the event, so you can drop in at any time. However, some programs have specific activities at set times, such as info sessions, portfolio reviews, and student panels. We recommend checking the full agenda in advance to ensure you don’t miss any important activities of interest. The full agenda will be available on September 30th on the CapU website. Volunteers will be stationed throughout the campus to guide you to the various buildings.
Do I need to get tickets for my family members?
All family members and friends are welcome. Please ensure you get tickets for all attendees and have them ready – either printed or on your phone – to speed up the check-in process.
Will I have the opportunity to have my portfolio reviewed?
Yes, programs such as 2D Animation, 3D Animation, Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication, Interaction Design, and VFX will have faculty available for portfolio reviews. Please check the agenda in advance for specific timing and bring your portfolio to receive valuable feedback and advice from our faculty. The full agenda will be available on September 30th on the CapU website.
