This course introduces students to the fundamentals of substantive family law in British Columbia, procedures for litigation practice in the Supreme Court and Provincial Court under the Divorce Act and the Family Law Act, and Indigenous jurisdiction in family law. Students will learn to prepare simple court documents for family law proceedings.

Prerequisites

LAW 101 and LAW 110, OR 30 credits of 100-level or higher coursework
