Motion design is one of the most in‐demand skills in the visual communications industry. This course is a project‐focused introduction to motion design, utilizing industry‐standard software, including Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, and Blender. Through weekly exercises, students will learn the principles of animation, such as easing, rhythm, timing, and staging. The course will also explore storytelling and visual narrative techniques such as storyboarding. Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are recommended.
