Get ready for a week full of energy and connection, from lively orientation sessions and student panels to exciting events and prize giveaways. It's the best way to meet new friends, explore campus life and start the semester strong.

Fall 2026 Squamish Orientation Schedule

Date: Tuesday, September 8
Time: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Location: Library Building

Join us on the first day of the semester for Welcome Orientation! Meet us at the entrance of the Library Building on the Squamish campus to connect with fellow new students and explore campus together.

Learn about the many services and resources available to support you throughout your academic journey and discover how to make the most of your time at CapU.

Stick around for a fun game of Ultimate Frisbee at the end of the event. Wear comfortable shoes and active clothing if you'd like to participate.

Lunch will be provided.

Date: Wednesday, September 9
Time: 12 - 1 p.m.
Location: Recreation Turf Field

Take a break and join us for an outdoor yoga session on the Recreation Turf Field. This event is open to all experience levels.

Bring your own yoga mat if you have one. A limited number of mats will be available to borrow.

Date: Tuesday, September 2
Time: 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Location: Squamish Campus Breezeway

Don't miss the biggest event of the year, Mountain Fest! Back for its second year, Mountain Fest is bigger and better than ever. Whether you're new to CapU or a returning student, this is the perfect way to kick off the semester.

Enjoy an afternoon of games, music from a local DJ, delicious food, and exciting prizes. Grab a free lunch, connect with community organizations, and learn about the many campus services available to support your success.

Meet new friends, get involved, and make lasting memories as you celebrate the start of the school year. There's something for everyone.

Time: 8 - 10 p.m.
Location: Multi-Purpose Room, Ground Floor, Services Building

Join us on campus for a cozy movie night.

Bring a blanket, lawn chair, or anything comfortable to relax on. Standard event chairs will also be available.

It's the perfect way to unwind after the first week of classes, whether you're catching up with friends or meeting new people.

Free popcorn will be provided.
