Fall 2025 Squamish Orientation Schedule

Date: Tuesday, August 26
Time: 9:30 - 10 a.m.
Location: Online (link will be emailed closer to the date)

Begin your CapU journey with our New Student Orientation Kick-Off. Immerse yourself in campus life and explore essential resources through interactive activities led by CapU staff and student leaders.

This dynamic live session is mandatory for all new students. lt will not be recorded, so be sure to attend! Access details will be provided in advance.

Time: 10 - 11:30 a.m.
Location: Library Building

Join us on the first day of the semester for our Welcome Orientation starting at the entrance of the Library Building on the Squamish Campus.

This event is a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow new students and tour the campus.

Discover the many campus services available to support you throughout your journey and learn how to make the most of them.

Location: Squamish Campus Breezeway

You don’t want to miss the biggest event of the year, Mountain Fest! Whether new to CapU or a returning student, Mountain Fest is the ultimate way to kick off the semester!

Join us for an afternoon packed with games, food, a local DJ and amazing prizes.

Enjoy a free BBQ, connect with community organizations, and discover the awesome services CapU offers to support your success. From interactive activities to fun giveaways, there’s something for everyone.

This is your chance to get involved, meet new friends, make memories and feel at home on the Squamish campus.

Location: CSU Lounge (Academic Building, room 343)

Join the Capilano Students’ Union (CSU) for an interactive session where current students share their personal insights, tips and stories about university life.

Learn what to expect, ask questions, and hear firsthand about campus resources, the best places on campus to study and ways to get involved.

This is your chance to get an insider's perspective on making the most of your time at university.

Location: Grassy Area/Breezeway (Rain backup, Room 319)

We are hosting an outdoor movie night right here on campus!

Bring a blanket and join us on the grass, or relax in accessible seating available on the breezeway for a cozy evening under the stars.

Haven’t met anyone yet? No worries, come solo or with others! This event is the perfect way to unwind after the first week of classes, whether you are hanging out with friends or hoping to meet new ones.
