Welcome to our home in the woods
In January 2025, the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) and the səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation) each contributed a name, offered in their respective Indigenous languages, as interpretations of the concept Treehouse, chosen by the Nations as a way to express “a home in the woods.” Lam̓íwa, in the Squamish language, and θqétəw̓txʷ, in Tsleil-Waututh, are the names given to reflect this meaning. We are honoured to carry these names.
