This course is designed to develop field leaders in the winter environment. This course will develop effective personal and group management techniques for cold environments. This course will also provide an intermediate proficiency in the building of winter shelters and camp craft for a winter environment. Students may achieve Outdoor Council of Canada Field Leader Winter certification if industry certification requirements are met.
