Safety Procedures & Liquor Service

It is important in today’s world to ensure that your guests feel safe while also being able to enjoy an in-person experience.

All events need to have a safety plan approved by the Office of Safety & Emergency Services. This process requires two weeks' notice.

Liquor service on campus and at external CapU events is restricted and must be approved in advance by the Manager, University Events & Ceremonies.

If you are wishing to hold an event with liquor service, please first refer to the Liquor Service and Consumption at University Events Policy (pdf).

Catering

The catering provider Chartwells has the first right of refusal for catering services at the main CapU campus. They offer a wide range of service options and menus to suit your budget.

They can accommodate varied dietary requirements and themed events. For more information, visit CapU's Chartwells page for detailed menus.

All other campuses require external catering to be brought in for events.
