The Hot Potatoes plugin allows faculty to create and upload an interactive quiz to Moodle.
Who can use it?
Faculty.
What is the purpose of Hot Potatoes?
Hot Potatoes is a quiz authoring program that creates questions that can be imported into eLearn.
Quizzes are created on the instructor’s computer and then uploaded to the eLearn course. After students have attempted the quizzes, a number of reports are available which show how individual questions were answered and some statistical trends in the scores.
The Hot Potatoes suite includes six applications, enabling you to create interactive question types:
- Multiple-choice,
- Short-answer,
- Jumbled-sentence,
- Crossword,
- Matching/ordering,
- Gap-fill exercises
