Bio

Bob Frazer is a highly acclaimed and internationally recognized actor, instructor, creator, and director in theatre, television, and film.

Among Frazer's many tv and film credits are the award winning (UBCP/ACTRA Best Actor Award) lead performance in the feature film, The Cannon; the fan favourite villain (Alban Hearst) in the television show Motherland: Fort Salem; Samuel Sr in the CBS hit series Fire Country; the on screen foil to Eric McCormack in the Canadian hit feature film Drinkwater; and lead roles in the TV series ReBoot: The Guardian Code (The Sourcerer), Cold Squad (Eddie), and the highly anticipated TV series Safehaven (John Rayburn).

On stage Frazer has worked across the country in many of our regional theatres. He has performed in over 100 plays and has directed 15 productions in western Canada. Professionally, he has directed musicals (Blood Brothers - Arts Club), classics (Our Town - osimous theatre - Best Production winner and Best Director nomination Jessie Richardson Awards), and Shakespeare (Othello - Bard on the Beach). He has been nominated for 16 Jessie Richardson Awards for performance and has won 10.

As a creator, Frazer was a lead creator/actor for Skydive, a show that took place completely in the air and helped launch the extremely successful Realwheels Theatre company, a company he helped found with his good friend James Sanders that creates and produces performances that deepen the disability experience. Frazer also founded the award winning and ground-breaking theatre company, osimous theatre, a company that creates intimate performances that stretch the actor's abilities. His work with osimous has been described by Vancouver Presents as "it will send shivers up the spine of anyone that has been on stage".

For the last 6 years Frazer has dedicated himself to growing his abilities as an actor and director through the mentorship of actors. He currently works with 60 professional actors helping to guide and grow their skills and careers. His company of actors have gone on to star in tv series, films, and theatres across Canada and in the US.

Frazer has dedicated his life to the art of performance.

Being primarily an actor, I love all things acting. I enjoy exploring the many great acting instructors such as Uta Hagen, Sanford Meisner, Larry Moss, Ivana Chubbuck, and Stella Adler to name only a few.

I love actors and the unending search for their unique individuality and authenticity. Although I focus on a style that I wholeheartedly believe is essential to acting in today's world, I continually explore new and exciting ideas and skills in acting. I thrive on working with actors to teach skills, change the way we teach acting, and to allow them to express their true selves.
