Bio

Christina Lee Kim Koon studied design and illustration with Capilano University's IDEA School of Design. She also completed interactive design related courses as part of the University of British Columbia's HTML5 Academy. She has been an interactive design instructor in the IDEA School of Design at Capilano University since 2018.

As an instructor and co-coordinator, Lee Kim Koon dedicates her time to the development of 100-300 level interactive design courses, combining her industry experience and interest in new and emerging technology.

Lee Kim Koon is a digital designer focusing on both brand and interface design. Her professional practice, Paone Creative, is a digital design studio that specializes in identity and website development for brands located in Vancouver, B.C. and globally from the United States to Europe.

I believe designers play a key role in the development and success of an organization — that problem solving skills, such as design thinking, and a sense of curiosity can be formed in university and ensure a successful career.

We can use the research and problem-solving skills developed for design to solve larger systemic issues and make an impact in today's world.

I strongly believe that both brand designers and illustrators can make great interactive designers. Interactive design benefits when we make our experiences more human.
