Tag(s): News & Announcements

May is Asian Heritage Month! A time for us to gather and reflect on the rich legacy, invaluable contributions and diverse experiences of Asian Canadians who have shaped Canada.

As part of this year’s Change Education Series, we delve into the stories of resilience and demonstrations of cultural pride that define the Asian Canadian diaspora. Stories that bring awareness to the ongoing struggles against anti-Asian hate, and stories that celebrate the vibrant and joyous cultural diversity of Asian communities.

From demonstrations with performers from the television series, Shogun, and Hindi and Punjabi dance performances to thought-provoking discussions about the resilience of Vancouver’s Chinatown and children’s literature that encourages kids to embrace their heritage and celebrate what makes them unique—there’s something for everyone.
