In this full-time program*, students focus on Canadian-specific and international business issues and trends. You will develop an awareness of differences in the cultural, socio-economic and political context of international business operations.

The majority of this program is completed in Canada at Capilano University, however, as part of completing their master degree, students are required to attend a six-month period of study at our partner institution; the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom.

Students may obtain a concentration by completing 12.00 elective credits in one of the following areas:

Marketing Concentration: CMNS 305, NABU 318, and 6.00 credits from the following: any 300 or 400-level BMKT course (except BMKT 366, 401, 405, 408), or IBUS 357; or

Human Resources Concentration: NABU 330, NABU 334, and 6.00 credits from the following: BADM 305, BADM 332, BADM 329, BADM 382, BADM 466, BADM 475, or NABU 366; or

This program is not designed for students who have completed the Capilano University Bachelor of Business Administration degree as this is a duplication of coursework.

Program Length

Please note that progression to the M.Sc. International Business at the University of Hertfordshire is subject to successfully completing the required Capilano University courses and meeting the minimal entry requirements as governed by the recognition agreement between the two universities.

Due to scheduling requirements, full-time students (up to five classes per term) staring in September can complete this program in a minimum of 27 months. Full time students starting January will complete can complete this program in a minimum of 33 months. Students who choose not to follow the suggested program plan will take longer to complete the program and must meet with an academic advisor to approve any changes.
