Stand out from the crowd with a Graduate Diploma in North American & International Management (NAIM) from Capilano University and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in International Business from the University of Hertfordshire (UH).

In this full-time program*, students focus on Canadian-specific and international business issues and trends. You will develop an awareness of differences in the cultural, socio-economic and political context of international business operations.

The majority of this program is completed in Canada at Capilano University, however, as part of completing their master degree, students are required to attend a six-month period of study at our partner institution; the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom.

Admission Requirements

Completion of an undergraduate degree from a recognized institution with a cumulative GPA (CGPA) of 2.0 or higher with preference given to students with a 2.5 or higher on your final two years of study. Students with backgrounds other than business degrees, economics degrees or the equivalent will be required to complete a Business Essentials course.

Students must produce evidence of their English Language Proficiency: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): internet=75, or International English Language Testing System (Academic IELTS)=6.0 overall, and no one score less than 5.5 and a min score of 6.0 in writing, or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL)=60, or Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic)=50, or Capilano University EAP 090 with a minimum B+ grade.

Two page letter of intent. The letter must be written by the applicant, and will be evaluated for thoughtfulness of response and quality of writing. Resume or experience summary.

Admission Notes

Please note that progression to the M.Sc. International Business at the University of Hertfordshire is subject to successfully completing the required Capilano University courses and meeting the minimal entry requirements as governed by the recognition agreement between the two universities.

Due to scheduling requirements, full-time students (up to five classes per term) staring in September will complete their program over 27 months. Students starting January will complete their program over 33 months due to summer breaks. Students who choose not to follow the suggested program plan will take longer to complete the program and must meet with an academic advisor to approve any changes.
