Program Highlights
Applications are not currently being accepted for this program.
The Associate of Arts Degree in Global Stewardship is a unique program in British Columbia.
Students have diverse career goals: local community development, journalism, teaching, politics, nursing and business as well as international development (NGOs and IGOs). But what they all share is the passion, compassion and commitment to make a positive difference in the world.
Through an innovative curriculum combining classroom study and engaged service learning, students gain the knowledge and skills to become change makers.
Graduating students have many options available: some apply for an internship to gain further experience in the NGO sector; others complete Bachelor’s Degrees in areas such as geography, political studies, international relations, anthropology, international development or social work.
Many students opt to stay and complete a degree at Capilano University, such as the Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Interdisciplinary Studies (formerly titled Bachelor of Arts with a major in Liberal Studies).
