Preventing the spread of communicable diseases on campus

The University is following provincial health and WorkSafe BC guidelines for communicable diseases. For more information, see the BC Centre for Disease Control's information for the post-secondary sector.

The CapU Exposure Control Plan for Communicable Diseases provides guidance specifically for our campus community.

Safety is everyone’s responsibility

We can all contribute personally and professionally by:

  • getting vaccinated,
  • following campus safety plans,
  • performing a daily self health check,
  • staying home when sick,
  • wearing masks when recommended or required,
  • following handwashing and hygiene etiquette, and
  • following public health guidance both on and off campus.

It's up to each one of us to do our part—it's our collective efforts that will make the difference. This is the time to be kind, to be calm and to be safe.
