Learning and remembering: National Indigenous Veterans Day and Remembrance Day 2021

Veterans' Week marks a time to for Capilano University to reflect on its flag display policies. With a deepened awareness of policies that denied Indigenous veterans their status and rights in their Nations and communities, the University is reviewing its policy and consulting with local First Nations to move forward with new steps in its reconciliation journey.

Convocation 2021: An in-person experience to finish a virtual year

Because we wanted to offer our graduates more than a virtual ceremony, earlier this month we piloted and successfully delivered an in-person experience, aligned with current public health orders, for the Capilano University graduating class of 2021. Our “Car-vocation” ceremonies reflected both CapU’s innovative spirit and community-minded values.
