He was formerly Convenor of the Post-Baccalaureate Program and also a Chair of the Professional Development Reporting Committee. He teaches finance, human resources and international business courses.

Gonzalez holds a Masters in Business Administration degree with a concentration in investment and finance from Western Illinois University in the United States of America, and Accounting (CPA, CMA) and Human Resources (CPHR) designations.

Gonzalez held roles of Business Development Manager, Country Manager and Regional Marketing Manager in different public and private companies and industries. He also worked in the banking industry advising small business owners, held a financial management role in a real estate company, and different senior management roles in an IT company.

Gonzalez owns a consulting company focused on human resources, strategy, and training and development. He is also a subject matter expert in accounting, finance and human resources with the Private Training Institution Branch of the Ministry of Advanced Education in B.C. Gonzalez is also a member of the Board of Directors of a sailing non-profit organization where he holds the role of Treasurer.

In his free time, Gonzalez enjoys skiing, golfing, refereeing soccer and riding his motorcycle (when it is not too cold).

I love management courses in general but I really enjoy teaching finance, human resources and international business.

The class atmosphere is really engaging and I feel lucky to have the opportunity to interact with students from so many different parts of the world and to meet new people.

I am a life-long learner and enjoy learning new techniques, tips or using resources that will bring engagement and support students in their learning. I strive to make my classroom sessions a safe place for sharing, learning and understanding. I also expect that students come prepared to discuss issues, provide perspectives and contribute during each session. It is engaging and contributing, and practicing that one learns the most.

Best Instructor Award, CPA Preparatory Program, 2019.
