Program Highlights
The Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) Certificate provides students with the competencies and knowledge required to work with children under the age of five in licensed preschools and childcare centres.
Upon successful completion of the ECCE Certificate program, students are eligible to apply for their ECCE Basic Certificate through the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
Students may ladder directly into the ECCE Diploma and the ECCE Degree programs at CapU. The ECCE degree program is a pathway to elementary education programs such as those offered at SFU and UBC.
This program is currently accepting applications at the Squamish and Sunshine Coast campuses. Early Childhood Care and Education students in the diploma or degree program(s) may work towards earning this credential.
