Program Highlights

The Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) Certificate provides students with the competencies and knowledge required to work with children under the age of five in licensed preschools and childcare centres.

Upon successful completion of the ECCE Certificate program, students are eligible to apply for their ECCE Basic Certificate through the Ministry of Children and Family Development.

This program does not accept applications. However, students can apply to the Early Childhood Care and Education Diploma and work towards earning this credential.

This certificate is embedded within the Degree and Diploma programs.

Continuation in each term of the programs is dependent upon the demonstration of satisfactory interpersonal, academic, and teaching/guiding skills. C- is the minimum acceptable grade in all courses within the certificate. Students must also meet the university graduation requirements.
