Tourism creates thousands of jobs and adds nearly $10 billion to the province's economy.
As global challenges intensify – especially those related to climate change – there is growing demand for future leaders who understand the value of developing and managing tourism responsibly. This is where a strong sustainable tourism program can make all the difference.
This two-year program is condensed into 16 months. It is designed for people with bachelor's degrees who are interested in becoming agents of positive change by advocating for sustainable tourism practices.
After completing the program, you are eligible to apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) for a maximum of 3 years.
In class, you'll develop the skills to lead hospitality and tourism initiatives, balancing economic growth, cultural integrity and environmental sustainability.
You'll take courses in tourism and climate change, environmental stewardship, and food sovereignty, with additional training in policy advocacy, community engagement and ethical business management.

3-month practicum included
You'll also participate in a 420-hour, full-time practicum, taking part in work-integrated learning opportunities in the tourism industry to prepare you for careers managing hotels, resorts and conferences sustainably.
