Residence fees
Starting at just $1,410 per month including all your meals, your residence fees include a fully furnished room with a bed, storage, desk, chair and closet, unlimited high-speed wireless Internet and access to laundry, washrooms and showers, as well as dedicated lounge and study spaces. Imagine not having to cook! Your residence fees also include a declining balance Meal Plan that provides a range of healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner options in the dining hall.

Summer Student Housing 2026
Summer student housing is available at both our Squamish and North Vancouver campus locations. All students who will be pursuing full-time studies at CapU during the Summer 2026 term are eligible to apply, as well as students who were enrolled full-time at CapU in Spring 2026.
New this summer, we will offer two types of booking options. Students may select one of the following options:
- Option 1: Full Summer Term (May 8 to August 22, 2026)
- Option 2: Two-Month Minimum Block: Available to students seeking short-term accommodation this summer. Months must be consecutive.
If you plan to select Option 2, please notify us at housing@capilanou.ca during your application and include the two consecutive months you wish to stay with us.

2026 North Vancouver Summer Rates (May 8 to August 22, 2026)
*Please note that plans are underway for our transition to the new on-campus residence. At this time, we are awaiting final confirmation on the building’s completion date. This date is expected to be in the early part of the Summer Semester.
As a result, we plan to start the summer semester at our Dollarton location and move to the new residence as soon as construction is finished and we get the green light to move in.
Since there will be a change in residence location during the summer semester, the cost of residence will be impacted. While residing at the Dollarton location, students will be charged prorated Dollarton Housing rates. Once the move to the new residence occurs, prorated fees will transition to the new on-campus pricing accordingly.
Students will be given at least two weeks’ notice before the move takes place.

Residence forms
Experiencing a maintenance-related issue in your residence room. Submit a maintenance request to ensure that our team is able to respond to your concern quickly. You will need to supply your Capilano University login and password in order to access the form.
Looking to switch to another room? Please fill out the Apply for Room Change Form (pdf) and return to the front desk in Grouse Hall or email to housing@capilanou.ca. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate all requests.
A room condition form must be completed within seven days of moving into a new room (including room switches). Additional copies are available at the residence front desk.
