CapU WIL is excited to bring news, ideas and WIL-related information to your desk and help you make sense of how to use work-integrated learning to support students apply and retain knowledge, innovate your processes and bring a fresh feel to your work surroundings.
WIL Newsletters come out each term, on the second week of January, May and September.
Let's Talk WIL
These reoccurring events happen every February, June and October. The series include one session for faculty and one session for partners.

Bring your course learning outcomes and course projects to find the perfect fit with one of the organizations we partner with. There are multiple solutions waiting for you!
You may consider adding an applied project to your course or finding new partners for your practicums, co-ops or internships.
These sessions are intense conversations so bring your best project ideas to the table.
You will have an opportunity to learn how a student can provide solutions to your problems or solve some of the issues you are currently dealing with. Examples include having students revamp your onboarding processes or renewing your business development strategy.
With students in over 200 programs, CapU can help you fill gaps in any area. You can choose to work with a co-op, practicum students, interns or even with a group of students to cover interdisciplinary topics.
CapU WIL Awards Ceremony
March is recognized as the month of work-integrated learning across Canada. To celebrate this, we award the CapU WIL Student of the Year and the CapU WIL Partner of the Year every March.

University-wide WIL Committee & External WIL Advisory Committee
CapU WIL consults with a university-wide WIL Committee and an External WIL Advisory Committee.
University-wide WIL Committee
The university-wide WIL Committee brings together faculty and staff to discuss any work-integrated learning program development items at CapU.
The WIL senior manager chairs this committee, has one faculty representative from each of the five faculties and meets four times a year.
The upcoming meetings are scheduled for:
- February 4, 2026
- June 10, 2026
- September 10, 2026
- December 3, 2026
External WIL Advisory Committee
The External WIL Advisory Committee brings together external partners, alumni and staff to advise and consult on labour market trends.
Members collaborate to support WIL programs and strengthen CapU relations with regional partner organizations. This advisory meets three times a year.
The upcoming meetings are scheduled for:
