A look at the student supports and services we offer in Sechelt.
The Sunshine Coast campus, called kálax-ay (pronounced calla-hi), is in downtown Sechelt, just a five-minute walk from oceanfront paths, the library, cafes and shops. Public transit stops 150 meters from our front door.
kálax-ay houses four classrooms, a science lab, computer lab, meeting room and hospital training lab, as well as a kitchen, lounge and outdoor picnic area. We showcase local Indigenous arts and crafts.
Whether you’re a new or returning student, we offer in-person advising and academic support for writing, math and computer courses. Counselling is available online or by phone, and we are proud to offer an Elder-in-Residence program, where Indigenous elders meet with students for one-on-one mentoring and take part in classroom presentations.
