Sunshine Coast Campus

ḵálax̱-ay | the Sunshine Coast Campus of Capilano University

Nestled among lush forests and mountains and bounded by the ocean, this ribbon of land is the traditional territory of both the shíshálh (Sechelt) and Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish) people.

Our regional campus is located in the village of Sechelt, midway up the Sunshine Coast. It was named kálax-ay (pronounced calla-hi) for the beautiful ocean spray bush found here.

Our campus is home to a friendly community of students, faculty and staff all learning together, while enjoying our unique coastal lifestyle.

We offer pathways to further education, cultural awareness and self-fulfillment for all our Sunshine Coast students.
