The Truth & Reconciliation Learning Circle is a virtual book club, presented by CapU Alumni Relations and Indigenous Education & Affairs.

Student reading on campus

The Learning Circle is designed to create an accessible, respectful space for CapU alumni and employees to deepen their understanding of Truth and Reconciliation.

This fall, we'll be reading Wînipêk by Niigaan Sinclair, a powerful collection of essays exploring Indigenous identity, treaty relationships and the ongoing impact of colonization in Canada.

Wherever you are in your personal journey, we invite you to join us! This is a space for reflection, respectful dialogue and shared learning.

“Reconciliation includes anyone with an open mind and an open heart who is willing to look into the future with a new way.”
– Chief Dr. Robert Joseph

No fee to participate but you will need to find your own copy of the book.

If you are in the greater Vancouver area, we recommend visiting Massy Books, a local and Indigenous-owned and operated book store.

To get the most from this experience, we encourage attending bi-weekly meetings. If you miss one, keep up with readings and join the next. Can't make the meeting time? Join our private group for discussion, just email us after signing up to let us know.
