This improvisation course explores the value and growth potential of participating in improvised song-based community music therapy groups. Through readings and in-class experiences, relevance, counterindications, and adaptations will be explored and considered. Students will research and share popular music styles as they gain competence in playing electronic instruments and facilitating group music therapy processes.
