Latinx Heritage Month: Women, Work and Rights in Honduras
Celebrate Latinx Heritage Month with a discussion on women's labour and human rights in Honduras.
This Latinx Heritage Month, join us for a special discussion with María Luisa Regalado of the Honduran Women's Collective (CODEMUH), who will speak about women’s labour, organizing, occupational health, human rights and working conditions in Honduras’s maquila manufacturing sector.
Eduardo Azmitia will introduce and moderate the session. Maria Valiouk will then offer a brief reflection on feminist epistemology and praxis, highlighting how women’s organizations transform lived experience into knowledge, collective action and social change.
This event connects closely to themes of economic development, globalization, inequality, labour and competing ways of understanding economic life.
