The Retail Business Fundamentals program is a full-time or part-time program offered from September to April. This program provides students with training in fundamental business skill, including business math and accounting, plus communications, retail marketing and management.
Students will gain confidence and skills and are able to continue their studies which ladder into the Business Administration diploma or degree program. Alternatively, graduates will have the necessary practical skills to enable success in the workplace.
Some students use the skills they have learned to gain positions in various areas of both private and public business sectors as well as retail business. Others move on to a more advanced program of studies in the School of Business: most of the courses you take in Retail Business
Fundamentals transfer directly into the Business Administration Diploma or the Bachelor of Business Administration.
Upon successful completion of the Retail Business Fundamentals certificate you are ready to join the work force. However if you'd like to continue your studies in business you can apply for the
Business diploma program which then can ladder into the
Business BBA degree. For further assistance please contact an
Advisor or phone directly 604.984.4900.
Retail Marketing Program at Capilano was the perfect stepping stone to my
career goals. The courses, team building experiences, and even the class
environment mirrors real-world scenarios and business practices. I would
recommend it to anyone looking to build the skills needed to excel in
