Students will work with an advisor to guide them through the initial preparatory steps of a research project in an area of communication studies. This can include support for research design and methodology, literature review, elaboration of a workable project thesis and definition, development of research instruments, documentary research support, and/or proposal development, as appropriate. Specific course details will be arranged between individual students and faculty members prior to registration. Registration is by permission of the instructor.

Prerequisites: 60 credits of 100-level or higher coursework and CMNS 261, CMNS 262, CMNS 360; and CMNS 462 as a pre- or corequisite
