Bio
Karine Hamm completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Laurentian University. She worked as a Pedorthic Technician for a few years before enrolling in a Master's of Biomechanics at UBC. Karine has taught at the post-secondary level for over 15 years, developing an interest in the effects of course design on students’ motivation for learning. She is completing a PhD in Educational Technology and Learning Sciences at SFU, hoping to change some of the colonized educational practices that interfere with learning. In her free time, you’ll find her in Squamish, mountain biking, skiing or enjoying the outdoors.
I teach in the areas of Biomechanics, Motor Control, Research Methods and Leadership.
