1. ELIGIBILITY The Capilano University ("CapU") International Student Contest (the "Contest") is open to incoming Fall 2025 international students who meet the following criteria:
- Must not be a permanent resident (PR) or Canadian passport holder.
- Must be a legal resident of British Columbia at the time of entry.
- Must be at least 19 years of age at the time of the entry (each an "Eligible Participant").
- Must be a new applicant to CapU
2. HOW TO ENTER To participate in the Contest, Eligible Participants must complete all of the following steps:
- Be in contact with the CapU international recruitment team via email to receive more details and guidance.
- Submit an application to the CapU Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program for the Fall 2025 intake no later than April 30, 2025.
- Complete the enrollment process and register for a minimum of nine (9) credits in the CapU BBA program for the Fall 2025 semester.
- Follow CapU’s official Facebook or Instagram account, share the designated contest post to their story, and tag the CapU CIE account @capilanoucie.
3. WINNER SELECTION AND PRIZES
- A random draw will be conducted on May 12, 2025, from all Eligible Participants who have paid their tuition deposit and have entered the Contest.
- Five (5) winners will be selected, each receiving a CAD $1,000 gift certificate for books and supplies.
- Winners will be notified individually via email.
4. CONDITIONS FOR RECEIVING PRIZES
- To receive the gift certificate, winners must be registered in the Fall 2025 intake at CapU and must hold a valid Study Permit at the start of classes on September 2, 2025.
- If a winner fails to register for the September 2025 intake for any reason, they will forfeit their prize, and an alternate winner may be selected at CapU’s discretion.
- Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and have no cash value.
5. GENERAL TERMS
- CapU reserves the right to modify, cancel, or terminate the Contest at any time without prior notice.
- By participating in the Contest, Eligible Participants agree to abide by these rules and the decisions of CapU, which are final and binding.
- CapU is not responsible for any technical errors, delays, or failures that may affect an Eligible Participant’s ability to enter the Contest.
- By entering the Contest, participants consent to CapU collecting and using their personal information for the purpose of administering the Contest and awarding prizes.
- This Contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations of British Columbia and Canada.
