This four-year bachelor's degree program offers cutting-edge science courses, lab work and research projects.

Specialize to stand out
Students in the B.Sc program customize their degree by choosing a concentration in biomedical sciences, computational sciences or environmental sciences.
To declare your concentration, you can check out the Bachelor of Science Concentration Course Planning (pdf) document, fill out the Bachelor of Science Declaration Form (pdf) and submit it to records@capilanou.ca.
Also, as part of completing your degree, you'll conduct extensive scientific research tied to your chosen concentration in the SCI 400 course.
You'll receive guidance and feedback from your instructors before presenting your final research in a BSc Senior Research Project showcase every term.

Admission Requirements
English language requirements
English is the language of instruction at CapU. All applicants are required to demonstrate competence in the English language prior to admission.
If English is not your first language or you’ve received your education in a language other than English, you must meet our English Language Requirements.

- A minimum grade point average of 2.0 (60%) calculated on English Studies 12 or English 12 or English First Peoples 12 and two academic Grade 12 courses

Program Notes
Students pursuing a baccalaureate degree must meet Cap Core graduation requirements in addition to their program requirements.
Students must obtain a concentration in Biomedical Science, Computational Science, or Environmental Science by completing 12.00 credits of approved courses for the chosen concentration, including at least one practical course and courses from at least two different science disciplines.
Students pursuing both the concentration in Environmental Science and the Minor in Environment and Society may not use any of the BIOL courses from the 6 credit elective list to complete the Minor.
