This course will introduce students to the use of ABA principles and procedures to support the learning and development of those with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. Through course readings, activities, lectures, and assignments, students will learn a variety of practical strategies to apply when working with various populations of individuals who experience developmental challenges. Completion of this course will enable students to seek certification as a Registered Behavior Technician. This course is appropriate for those seeking to provide direct intervention services to children, youth, and/or adults with autism and other developmental disabilities in a variety of settings, including home, school, and communities.

  • This course is based on the RBT Task List (3rd Ed.) and is designed to meet the 40-hour training requirement for RBT certification. This course is offered independent of the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB).
