Capilano University has a new campus safety app—CapU Safe Alert, powered by AlertAware
Be the first to know about emergencies, severe weather incidents, power outages or campus closures. CapU Safe Alert, powered by AlertAware, will allow you to report an incident, request a SafeWalk to your car and customize alerts so you can get notifications for the campus and student housing areas that matter to you.
Why the change?
Safety is everyone’s responsibility. We’re moving to the CapU Safe Alert app to give students, employees and visitors a faster, more reliable way to receive public safety notifications, alerts and instructions from University safety and security when emergencies and critical events occur. It is your official, trusted source for verified campus safety information during an emergency.
Don’t wait—the University will be phasing out the old CapU Safe app by the end of November 2025. Switch now and stay connected, wherever you are.
