Capilano University (CapU) will host the 2024 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Women’s Soccer National Championship.

All CCAA Championship matches will take place in Squamish, B.C. from November 6–9, 2024.

“I am truly excited and proud to host this national event,” said Georgette Reed, director, athletics and recreation. “CapU has a rich history in successfully hosting spectacular events and we will make sure that this adds to the list.”

Dennis Kindel, head coach of the Capilano Blues women’s soccer team, looks forward to hosting a thrilling tournament and the impact it will have on the future of the women’s soccer program.

"CapU has a celebrated history with five national championships and hosting an event of this magnitude will only elevate the program’s future,” said Kindel. “We already feel the growing excitement and look forward to making it a memorable experience for all involved."

The tournament will feature eight teams from across Canada: the host Capilano Blues, conference champions from the PACWEST, Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC), Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference (MCAC), Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA), Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ), Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) and a CCAA wildcard team.

The event will coincide with the Blues Athletics’ 50th anniversary celebrations, which Reed is excited to jointly celebrate with the CCAA.
