COVID-19 response to public health order issued November 19, 2020
Update to campus guidelines
In accordance with B.C’s updated public health order of November 19, 2020, the University provides the following information for all students and employees:
Mandatory mask use: Mask-wearing is now mandatory for students and employees in all indoor public spaces on our campuses. This includes all common areas, break rooms and kitchens. Masks must be worn when studying or working within two metres of another person on campus, regardless of whether or not the location is public space or a classroom. Please also continue to maintain appropriate physical distance at all times.
For students: Students on campus are expected to continue to follow the required daily health check procedures.
For employees: Employees and contractors who are working in-person at CapU must continue to conduct, and record for their manager’s approval, a daily health-check self-assessment before commencing work each day they are on campus. Until January 4, 2021, employees are strongly encouraged to work from home where operationally possible and approved by their manager.
The updated provincial health order is in effect until midnight of December 7, 2020 and we will continue to keep you informed of any developments that may arise.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
