Julius Caesar
CapU Theatre modernizes Shakespeare's political thriller.
A modern-day capital city of the most powerful country in the world. A general returns home. He commands not only armies but a near-fanatical popularity with the people. This adulation disturbs others—politicians, other generals, and even his friends worry he may become a tyrant. They hatch a plot to assassinate him. It’s for the greater good, after all.
A relentless political thriller, William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar explores the question of how far is too far to defeat a political rival, while taking the audience on a wild journey through the halls of power, prophecy, and the devastation of war.
