Buy Your Books Online
You can still purchase your books by visiting the Bookstore Online. We will fill your order with your preference of new or used books if available, and have them delivered to your home within 2-4 business days of placing your order. Delivery to residents in rural areas may take longer. After ordering online, you will receive a confirmation message to confirm that we have received your book order. Your card is not charged at that time but charged later on when we are ready to pick, pack, and ship your books.
If a used book is not available for your order it will be substituted with a new book. If you don't want to receive substitutions please place a note in the note field of your order stating that you do not want to accept a substitution of a new book if the used is not available. The online ordering system does not accept pre-paid credit cards or Visa debit cards.
We do not ship to PO Box numbers. We only ship to addresses with a street address. If you will not be home to sign for your parcel it is best to ship it to your work address where there will be someone there to sign for the parcel. If you received a door knocker from UPS, It is your responsibility to call the number on the door knocker to arrange for the delivery of your books.
Access a Personalized Book List
You can obtain a personalized booklist from the Capilano University Registration page. While registering for courses, follow the Textbooklink at the bottom and you willaccess a page with a list ofbooks for your courses that you can view or purchase. You may see some courses without books, and sometimes the books you'll need won't be ordered until closer to the start of term. You can come back to the Registration page anytime to see if there have been updates to what you will need to read.
Next Textbook Buyback Dates: December 12–14 and January 7–11
The Bookstore will be buying your used texts for spring term classes December 12–14 , Wednesday to Friday, and January 7–11, Monday to Friday. Hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Bookstore will pay 55% of the new price of your book, provided it is being used in the upcoming fall term. Check the spring booklist closer to the start of the spring term to see whether your book has been chosen by Capilano Faculty for use again. If your book is not being used, the Bookstore can still offer a "wholesale" rate for your book, usually between 10%–30% of its new price, as the book will be shipped to the US.
Refund Deadline: The refund deadline for spring term 2019 books is January 31, 2019. Sorry, we cannot refund Print Packages. Keep your receipts, you'll need them for all your refunds.
