Capilano University (CapU) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 Work‑Integrated Learning (WIL) Awards, recognizing exceptional students and employer partners who demonstrated excellence, commitment and innovation in work‑integrated learning during 2025.

This year marks an important milestone for CapU’s WIL community with the introduction DoubleTree by Hilton North Vancouver as presenting sponsor for the annual awards. CapU extends its gratitude to Aliya Bhatia, vice president of operations for Chelsea Properties, for her generosity and support. Bhatia will present the awards at today’s ceremony.

The 2026 celebration aligns with National Work‑Integrated Learning Month, recognized every March in partnership with the Co‑operative Education and Work‑Integrated Learning (CEWIL) Canada, the lead organization for work-integrated learning in Canada. The annual awards ceremony provides a moment to acknowledge individuals and organizations who went above and beyond during their curricular WIL experiences.

“We are proud to celebrate our students, partners and community collaborators who demonstrate the power of work‑integrated learning,” said Magdalena Mot, senior manager, work-integrated learning. “Their dedication contributes not only to student success but also to the strength and vibrancy of our regional workforce.”

This year’s honourees reflect Capilano University’s core values—Open, Expressive, Dedicated, Relevant and Enterprising—and were selected by a university‑wide adjudication committee.
