Today, Capilano University joins others around the world in mourning the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and we offer our condolences and sympathies to all members of the royal family in this time of loss and sadness.

Over the course of her long life, Queen Elizabeth remained dedicated and steadfast, serving as a beacon of stability for many throughout turbulent times.

Through her work, she supported and helped bring recognition to dozens of health and community organizations that impact Canadians. In 2016, she said “On our own, we cannot end wars or wipe out injustice, but the cumulative impact of thousands of small acts of goodness can be bigger than we imagine,” a belief that guided much of the work she did.

Flags on our campuses will be lowered to half-mast in recognition of her service as Queen of Canada and Head of State.
