Capilano University and VanArts sign pathway partnership agreement for students to enhance credentials

North Vancouver B.C. June 22, 2021 – Capilano University (CapU) and Vancouver Institute of Media Arts (VanArts) announce a new pathway partnership that allows graduates of VanArts’ 12-month Acting for Film & Television diploma program to continue their education at CapU and graduate with additional credentials in Acting for Stage and Screen from CapU.

Acting for Stage and Screen is a three-year diploma program. This agreement allows VanArts graduates to apply up to 42.5 transfer credits and complete the CapU program in two years.

This new pathway between CapU and VanArts coincides with the Province’s BC Restart plan and helps to train qualified individuals to play an active role in reinvigorating the arts industry for a post-pandemic world.

Current VanArts students considering this pathway should contact VanArts admissions department and VanArts alumni may contact CapU admissions for more information.
