This semester we will be offering in-person group fitness classes once again!

Classes will take place in the Centre for Sport and Wellness gymnasium unless otherwise stated. Please sign up in advance on Eventbrite to reserve your spot- you will be asked for proof of registration upon arrival.

Classes cost about $6 per class and registration is done online through Eventbrite.

Please arrive 10 minutes early with a water bottle and check in at the front desk. There are change rooms and a water fountain on site.

Mondays, 6-6:45 p.m.

Ready to zen? Wrap up your day with some stress-release. Join Jessie for a 45-minute, beginner-friendly hatha practice.

Each practice starts with a chance to connect with your CapU community on Zoom. Join us for free by clicking the blue button below for our class, 6-6:45 p.m. each Monday.

Circuit Training

Wednesdays, 10:15-11:15 a.m.

Ready to sweat? Are you looking for an opportunity to squeeze in a workout while you're on campus? Join April for a 1 hour full body Circuit Training session. This class will take place in the weight room or gym and will be sure to get you moving!

All levels and abilities are welcome, with modifications available for all movements. We can't wait to see you there!

Spin Class

Thursdays, 7:30-8:10 a.m.

Start your day off right with this energetic, early morning spin class. Andrea will take the class through a variety of drills set to upbeat music. Spin is a great cardio and leg workout.

Lunch Hour Yoga

Please note that Lunch Hour Yoga will no longer be offered for the Fall term. Feel free to join our Virtual Yoga class on Mondays. In-person Yoga will return in the Spring term.

Athletics and Recreation waiver

Have you signed a waiver yet? Please fill out the CapU Department of Athletics Group Fitness Waiver (pdf) and send it to lesleycambridge@capilanou.ca prior to class. You only need to fill out the waiver once for the entire school year.

This past year, we have been participating in 2020 Recreation Movement, an online portal that allows you to access hundreds of live and pre-recorded fitness classes from Universities across North America.

The movement is continuing into 2021, so you can continue participating in the workouts.

How to Participate

  2. Create an account using your @my.capilanou.ca or @capilanou.ca email address
  3. Choose and take your class
  4. Log your minutes
