Starting a new academic journey abroad is exciting – but it can also feel overwhelming. Transition Officers are here to make sure you feel prepared and supported every step of the way.
Capilano University's International Student Transition Officers (ISTO) are here to help newly admitted students adjust smoothly to life in Canada and at CapU.
Through one-on-one meetings, our team can help you with:
- Finding safe and convenient housing;
- Preparing for student life before you arrive;
- Learning how to access CapU's student resources;
- Understanding life in Canada; and
- Knowing your rights and responsibilities as an international student at CapU.
This service is only available to newly admitted international students who have received a Letter of Acceptance and have not yet started their first term, or who are currently in their first term.
Appointments are offered virtually (via Zoom) or in person.
New international students are encouraged to attend the upcoming workshops to help ensure a successful first term at CapU. Event and registration details will be sent to your CapU email prior to each session.
